Welcome to CV Generator. By accessing or using our website at cvmaker.work or creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“the user”) and CV Generator (“we”, “us”, “our”).

If you are using CV Generator on behalf of a business or organisation under an Enterprise plan, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

CV Generator is an online platform that allows users to create, edit, format, preview, and download professional CVs. The service includes:

• A guided CV profile builder covering all standard CV sections
• Multiple professionally designed CV templates
• PDF download of your completed CV
• AI-powered writing assistance, CV import, skill generation, and role-tailored CV creation (available to subscribers)
• Multi-CV management tools (available to Enterprise subscribers)

We reserve the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes that affect their use of the service.

CV Generator is provided “as is.” While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.

To use CV Generator, you must create an account by providing your name, email address, phone number, and a password. By registering, you agree that:

• All information you provide at registration is accurate, current, and complete.
• You will keep your registration information up to date.
• You are at least 16 years of age.
• You will maintain the security and confidentiality of your password and will not share your login credentials with anyone else.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it.
• You will notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without your authorisation.

Each account is for use by a single individual. Under an Individual plan, you may not use your account to create CVs for other people. Under an Enterprise plan, the account holder is responsible for ensuring all use of the account complies with these Terms.

We reserve the right to refuse registration or suspend accounts at our discretion, particularly where there is evidence of misuse, false information, or breach of these Terms.

Certain features of CV Generator require a paid subscription. We offer the following plans:

Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page. Prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.

Your subscription is valid for one year from the date of activation. We will send you a reminder email before your subscription expires. Subscriptions do not auto-renew — you will need to make a new purchase to continue using premium features after expiry.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect active subscriptions — only future purchases made after the change date.

In exceptional circumstances, we may offer complimentary subscription access at our sole discretion. Complimentary subscriptions carry the same usage terms as paid ones.

You agree to use CV Generator only for its intended purpose — creating honest, professional CVs — and in accordance with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations. The following are strictly prohibited:

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund. We reserve the right to report illegal activity to the appropriate Nigerian authorities.

You own your CV content. The information you enter into your profile — your work history, education, skills, and all other CV data — belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership over your personal content.

By using CV Generator, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you. This licence ends when you delete your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all content you enter. We strongly discourage the creation of CVs containing false or exaggerated information. Misrepresenting qualifications or experience in a CV may constitute fraud under Nigerian law, and we accept no liability for any consequences arising from inaccurate information you submit.

You may download your CV as a PDF at any time during your subscription. You may also request an export of your stored data — see our Privacy Policy for details.

If you receive a complimentary or promotional account, you acknowledge that we may access your account for technical support or quality review purposes, with your data handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

CV Generator offers AI-powered tools to help you write stronger CV content, import existing CVs, suggest skills, and create role-tailored versions of your profile. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• AI output is a starting point, not a final product. AI-generated content is a suggestion to assist you. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before including it in your CV.
• Accuracy is your responsibility. AI features work from the information you provide. They do not verify facts, credentials, or employment history. We are not responsible for inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading content generated by AI features.
• AI features are not a substitute for professional advice. For specialised industries, senior roles, or complex career situations, we recommend seeking input from a professional career counsellor or CV specialist in addition to using our platform.
• Usage limits apply. AI features are subject to monthly usage quotas depending on your plan. We reserve the right to adjust these limits to ensure fair access for all subscribers.
• Uploaded documents. When you upload a CV file for AI import, it is processed and then deleted. Do not upload documents containing sensitive information unrelated to your CV, such as financial records, identification documents, or third-party confidential data.
• AI availability. AI features depend on third-party services. While we aim for high availability, AI features may occasionally be temporarily unavailable due to provider issues beyond our control. This does not entitle you to a refund.

All elements of the CV Generator platform — including but not limited to the website design, CV templates, layout structure, software, code, logo, brand name, and all written or visual content produced by us — are the intellectual property of CV Generator and are protected under applicable Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the service and its templates to create CVs for your own use (Individual plan) or on behalf of your clients or staff (Enterprise plan). This licence does not grant you the right to:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our CV templates for any purpose outside of creating your own CVs on the platform.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our platform.
• Use our brand name, logo, or any associated trademarks without our prior written consent.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the platform or its templates.

Feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to us about the service may be used by us freely to improve the platform without any obligation to compensate you. If you submit such ideas, you waive any intellectual property claims over them.

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, CV Generator is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Employment outcomes: Using CV Generator, including its AI features, does not guarantee that you will obtain employment, secure interviews, or achieve any particular career outcome. The quality and success of a CV depends on many factors entirely outside our control.
• Uninterrupted service: We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times, free of errors, or that defects will be corrected immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain availability and fix issues promptly.
• AI accuracy: AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, outdated phrasing, or suggestions that are not appropriate for your specific industry or role. Always review AI output before using it.
• Third-party services: We are not responsible for the performance, availability, or policies of third-party services including payment processors or AI service providers that we use to deliver the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CV Generator shall not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of employment opportunities or income
• Damage to your professional reputation arising from inaccurate CV content you submitted or failed to review
• Data loss resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control
• Temporary unavailability of the service or any feature
• Any reliance placed on AI-generated suggestions without your own review

Where we are found liable for any direct loss or damage arising from our service, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory under which a claim is brought, whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise.

By you: You may close your account at any time by contacting us. On account closure, your profile data will be permanently deleted within 14 days. Subscription fees already paid are non-refundable.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if we determine, in our reasonable judgement, that you have:

• Breached any provision of these Terms
• Engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity through the platform
• Used the platform in a way that could harm other users or the integrity of the service
• Provided materially false information at registration

If we terminate your account due to a breach of these Terms, you will not be entitled to a refund of any subscription fees paid. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of termination unless doing so would interfere with an investigation or legal proceeding.

Upon termination for any reason, your right to use the service ends immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 6, 8, 9, 10, and 12 — will remain in effect.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of CV Generator shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us first at the address in Section 14. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly, and most concerns can be addressed through direct communication.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, either party may seek resolution through a recognised alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body before resorting to litigation, in accordance with Nigerian law.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service, law, or our business practices. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
• Notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the updated Terms take effect, where changes materially affect user rights or obligations.
• For minor clarifications or administrative updates, we will update this page without a separate notification.

Your continued use of CV Generator after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the service before the effective date of the change.
